Public Education
Ryan has devoted the last six years to serving on his local school board and working to improve public education in House District 96. At the same time, our current leadership in the state has systematically worked to funnel money out of public education and it’s time for a change. TExas is one of the wealthiest states in the country, we have on of the largest economies in the world, and our funding per pupil is consistently one of the lowest levels in the country. The priorities of our current leadership are not to improve public education for all students but merely to try to find ways to funnel public education dollars into the hands of the wealthy. Our children and our teachers deserve better. When elected, Ryan will fight every day for our future because without a strong public education system, Texas cannot maintain its vibrant economy.
